Reading & Library

Please store your child's reading book in their book bag so that they have it in school each day and can be heard in school. The combination of hearing your child read regularly, asking questions about what they have read, looking at sound cards and keywords will really help your child progress with their reading. 

Children visit the library fortnightly on a Tuesday.  This is a great opportunity for sharing stories which promotes a love of books.  Please return them fortnightly so that they can be changed. 

PE

Our PE lessons are on  Wednesdays. Please ensure that your child has his/her full PE kit in school at all times. We will have 1 lesson inside in the hall (Monday) and 1 outside (Wednesday) throughout the year so your child will need tracksuit bottoms and top or a warm fleece. Trainers are more suitable outside although plimsolls can be used if you already have them. PE shorts will be worn for indoor PE. Please could every piece of clothing be named to avoid any mishaps with shirts, trousers or shorts going astray!

To prevent accidents, earrings must be removed by the child or before coming in to school.

Your child's PE kit will be sent home at the end of every half term for it to be washed.  Please return it on the first day back of the next half term.
