Year 2 (Shape and Measure)

In Year 2, we used different maths skills when designing and making our toy vehicles.

We had to cut out and decorate a net to create a cuboid which would be the body of our vehicle. We then had to carefully and accurately measure the wood to create our frame before assembly all of the different parts together.

Year 4 (Calculation and measure)

In Year 4, we had to use many different maths skills when working on our ‘Savoury Christmas Pastries’ project.

Before starting to make our pastries, we worked out how much it would cost to buy the ingredients required. We weighed the ingredients needed to make pastry using scales and then made nets for our packaging.
